Bradford College selected open source Koha from PTFS for its new library management system

Background
Bradford College is a large further and higher education college with approximately 25,000 students. The College offers a range of full and part-time courses from introductory level through to postgraduate level and caters for a variety of students, including school leavers, adults wanting to return to education, degree-level students and those seeking professional qualifications.
The Requirement
Bradford College needed to replace their library management system to match the college’s changing needs and aspirations. The college chose to use Crown Commercial Service’s G-Cloud catalogue, RM1557, to find a solution and place the contract.
Our Success
Bradford College selected Koha as its new library management system. This web-based, open source software from Bramble Hub and PTFS Europe offers improved value for money, enhanced discovery capability and a depth of functionality that will continue to develop to meet the college’s changing needs. The contract provides Bradford College with implementation, hosting and support services.
